Talks with Tekena

I had a conversation with someone about marriage and the relationship a lot of women have with their mothers in-law and I was shocked at some things I heard, “Tekena, I can’t get married to a man if his mother is still alive, I don’t want any issues in my home in the future“… Society has made quite a number of people (women especially), tag their mothers in-law as enemies of their marriages… But rather than wish the woman was dead, isn’t there a possibility that you all could get married and still stay away from your mother in-law? Is it wise to talk to your partner about their toxic, offensive parent (mother)? Ladies would you be like my friend who says she wouldn’t get married to any man, no matter how deep the love, if his mother is still alive?
